He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Smolock and Helen Smolock (Kenenitz); and his brother Michael Smolock. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Smolock Jr. (Kim) of Conyngham Valley, Erin Smolock (Shawn Meier) of Girardville and Bryan Smolock (Tara) of Ashland; his sisters, Marianne Smeck (Harry) and Sueellen Edwards; and his sister-in-law Nancy Kay Smolock (Schisler). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
