It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Chaya of Ashland, Pennsylvania, born in McAdoo, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 30, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia (Macovitch) and John Chaya Sr.; his siblings, John J. Chaya Jr. and Viola Hollandsworth; and his sister-in-law Sylvia Chaya.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Chaya (Szott); his children, Nancy Baker (Thomas) of Wyomissing and Joseph Chaya Jr. (Lisa) of Audubon, PA.; his sister Joan Oldham (Doyle); his sisters-in-law, Teresa Szott and Mary Poreca; and his granddaughters, Elena and Olivia Chaya.
