He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent O'Hearn and Marion Scanlan O'Hearn; his siblings, Edward, Richard O'Hearn, Marianna O'Hearn and Susan Bovidge; and his sisters-in-law, Lee and Pat O'Hearn.
He is survived by: his wife Sara O'Hearn; his son Mark O'Hearn (LeeAnne); his stepsons, Steve McGrath (Jen), Gordon and Scott McGrath (Melanie) of Carlisle; his brothers, Vince O'Hearn and Jim O'Hearn (Nancy) of Texas; his grandchildren, Mark O'Hearn, Michael, Tyler, Jonas and Libby McGrath; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Lucas (Tom), Dick Adams (Mary) and Bovidge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in, Gene's name, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to the memorial fund of Saint Charles Borromeo Church at 1115 Walnut Street, Ashland, PA 17921.
