He was predeceased by: his parents, Gurney Klinger and Mildred Klinger (Moser); and his siblings, Betty Fetterolf, Ernest Klinger, Delbert Klinger (Butch), Chester Klinger (Chet), Dennis Klinger and Ethel Flannery.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Kimmel; his children, Yvonne (Norman Lettich), David Klinger Jr. (Judith) and Jason Klinger (Jennifer); and his brother Marlin Klinger. He is also survived by Six Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
