He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thompson and Violet Thompson (Schafer); his sons, Barry Thompson Jr. and Todd Thompson of Delaware; and his stepdaughter Tracey Sherer.
He is survived by: his spouse Sherry L. Thompson (Moser); his daughters, Lisa Ledoux and Tracy Thompson; his stepson Edwin Steigerwalt of Lehighton; his sisters, Sandra (Dennis Huseman) of North Carolina and Marianne Smith of Nesquehoning; and his grandchildren, Kirstyn, Anthony, Brittany, Kayla of Delaware, Jessica, Alyssa, David of Minnesota and Katie of Palmerton. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
