He is survived by: his wife Philomena Gilliland (DeRiggi); his children, John Gilliland Jr. (Melissa), Michelle Gilliland (Sean Byrnes) and Mary Susan Gilliland; his stepson Neal Trovy; his sister-in-law Linda Hawn (Paul); his grandchildren, Kailey and Courtney; and his great grandchild Leon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
