He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth C Arlidge and Gertrude Merkel; his daughters, Diane Caskey and Sherry Davenport; and his son-in-law Jay T. Rohler.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Watkins; his daughter Lisa Rohler; his grandchildren, Sarah Brown (Michael), Ashly Ryan (Daniel), Westley Rowe and Christopher Reese; and his great grandchildren, Riki, Anna, Adeline and Declan.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Richard's remarkable life.
