She was predeceased by: her husband Howard K. Simpson. She is survived by: her siblings, Katharine Barnes, Samuel and James Kephart; her children, Christopher Simpson (Johanna Crawford) and Susan Landgraf (John Early); and her grandchildren, Skye Landgraf (Jeffrey Moro), Mimi Simpson (Noah Landers) and Walker Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Christopher's Church and Hope Afloat in honor of Susan K. Simpson.
