With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gilbert Sommer of Ardmore, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 12, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Wakefield Knitting Mills; his wife Diane Augustine Dagit; and his siblings, Joan Mateer, Frank Sommer and Mary Beth Sommer.
He is survived by: his children, G. Treacy, Jr. (Kelly), Josephine Sommer, Leonide DelGatto (Lawrence), Dandurand S. Conway (Michael) and Sean H. (Maria); his grandchildren, Kalin Smoot (Kevin), Jennifer Sommer (Grant), Saoirse Wong, Andrew, Mathias Wenzel, Alexis, Adeline DelGatto, Emerson, Lucas Conway, Stella and Matteo Sommer; his great grandchildren, Lily and McKinley Smoot; and his sister Karen Brine.
