He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Eva Stapf; his half-brother William Carnill, II; and his mother Quaker. He is survived by: his sons, Clark D., III (Beth), Mark B. (Jean), Rodman S. (Susan) and William C. Jim; and also Mary Buckman Carnill. He is also survived by nine granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
