He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Mary Guarneri DeLeo; his parents, Carmen DeLeo and Rose Covino DeLeo; and his brother Angelo "Charles" DeLeo. He is survived by: his sons, Sam Joseph DeLeo Jr. (Doreen) of Archbald and John Carmen DeLeo (Deborah) of Cocoa Beach, Florida.; his grandchildren, Jena Morris (Bryan), Erika, Staci, John Jr. DeLeo (Shanna) and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Elliette and Gemma DeLeo; his siblings, Mary Ricken and Peter DeLeo; his siblings-in-law, Sal Guarneri, Regina Guarneri, MaryAnn Petrillo and Theresa Guarneri; and his cousin Arlene Covino Kontura (Bob Kontura). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
