He was predeceased by: his father Richard Chekan; and his grandparents, John, Helen Chekan, Josephine and Walter Koza.
He is survived by: his wife Lina Chekan of Ashley, PA; his children, Nicolas (Nerelisse), Marc and Sarah; his mother Mary Peters Chekan of Archbald, PA; his siblings, Donna Finn (Terry) of Hawley, PA and Dave (Kim) of Pittsburgh, PA; his parents-in-law, Nicolas, Jacqueline Fakhoury and Beirut; his sisters, Randa (Raouf Farran) and Maya (Spiro Mouchaham); and his nieces and nephews, Steven, Beckham, Harlow, Rym, Dany, Joseph and Jeremy. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.
