He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd A. Shepherd and Myra Shepherd (Rearick); his wife Avril E. Shepherd (Fennel); and his brothers, Harold A., L. Ray and Boyd Shepherd Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Sue Lantz (Simon) of Bell Township and Shelley Sue Shepherd of Bell Township; his grandsons, Sean Lantz (Bonnie) of Bell Township and Shane Lantz (Crystal) of Bell Township; his great grandchildren, Delaney Lantz, Piper Lantz and Jesse Lantz; and his brother William Paul Shepherd of Greensburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in Wilbert's memory.
