She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph R. Shellhammer and Hazel Mildred Shellhammer (Smeltzer); her husband Floyd B. "Dutch" Young; and her siblings, Frank, John Shellhammer, Phyllis J. Kiebler, Florence Tomlinson and Fay Saxion.
She is survived by: her children, Royden B. Young, II of Kiski Township, Barbara Sproull (William) of Apollo and Dawn Mitchell of Kiski Township; her grandchildren, Andrea Evans (Ian) of League City, TX, Nadine Stoughton (Chris) of Parks Township, Julianne Rugh (James) of West Leechburg, Leah McGuire of Vandergrift, Meghan Roberts (James) of Apollo, Casey Mitchell of Apollo, Carey Mitchell of Kiski Township and Nicholas J. Skufca of Natrona Heights; and her brother Roy Shellhammer of Kiski Township. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Twila's memory to the Orchard Hills Christian Fellowship and Academy, 385 Kings Road, Apollo, PA 15613.
