With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stella M. (Troy) Kownacki (Apollo, Pennsylvania), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 9, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Troy and Ruth Troy (Reinhardt); her husband James F. Kownacki; and her children-in-law, Deborah Kownacki, Pamela Schmidt and Michael Childs.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Kownacki (Mary Jess) of Parks Township, Kathy Childs of Vandergrift and David Kownacki of West Alexander; her grandchildren, Erica Bologna (John) of Leechburg, Melissa Ily (Frank) of O'Hara Township, Jessica Floyd (David) of Waynesburg, Michael Childs of Vandergrift and Brandon Regan of Philadelphia; her great grandchildren, Maggie, Thomas, Charlotte, Sophie, Mason and Emmy; and her siblings, Agnes Hall (David), William Troy (Carol) and Timothy Troy (Sandy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
