He was predeceased by: his mother Loretta Prenni Shaffer; and his siblings, Edward, Brett Shaffer and Valerie Leda. He is survived by: his father Edward Shaffer; his wife Gwen Michelle Hollenbush Shaffer; his children, Tim Shaffer (Jenna) of Apollo, Tony Shaffer of Ford City, Tommy Shaffer of Leechburg, Samantha Layton of Harrisville and Brittany Fusillo (Todd) of Apollo; his grandchildren, Evan Thomas Shaffer and Callie Grace Conti; and his brothers, Eric Shaffer (Nadine) of Avonmore and Lance Shaffer (Bernadette) of Paulton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
