He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Walsh and Elsie Walsh (Wilding); his wife Mary Barbara Walsh (Rowe); his grandson Thomas Filo IV; his great grandchild Anna Rose Floyd; and his brothers, Thomas Walsh and Roger "Leroy" Walsh.
He is survived by: his children, Guinevere Babines (Dennis) of Albright, WV, Christine Sallade (Gary) of Vandergrift, Joseph L. Walsh, Jr. (Laura) of Butler, TN, Barbara Jo Walsh of Parks Township and Susan Emily Floyd (Clair) of Washington Township; his sister Betty Libengood of Kiski Township; his sisters-in-law, Peggy Walsh of New York and Lois Jean Rowe of Vandergrift; and his close friend Sarah "Sally" Dixon of Tarentum. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
They ask that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Monarch Hospice, 2837 Leechburg Road, New Kensington, PA 15068, or to a charity of one's choice in Les's memory.
