He is survived by: his wife Bernadine Carnahan (Strong) of Apollo; his children, Paula Hirshka of Apollo, Sheri Stewart of Apollo, Carla Jones (Ara) of Leechburg and Collin Bowser (Tina) of State College; his stepdaughter Dorothy Costello of Washington, PA; his son-in-law David McIvor of Apollo; his brother Dick Carnahan (Beverly) of Avonmore; his grandchildren, William, Lauren, Joshua, Dominick, Christian and Nicholas; and his stepgrandchildren, Kimberly, Tonya, Christy, Nathan, Natalie, Lynsey, Danielle, Andrea and Taylor. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
