With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Freda M. (Contie) Laero (Apollo, Pennsylvania), born in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 5, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred B. Contie and Mae Contie (Hamilton); her husband Frank E. "Mertz" Laero; and her brother Alfred B. Contie, Jr. (Freda). She is survived by: her children, Nancy Zornow of Vandergrift, Judie Kutsch (Ronald) of Washington Township and James E. Laero of Mississippi; her daughter-in-law Robin Laero of Allegheny Township; her sons, Robert Laero (Donna) of Penn Run, Frank E. Laero, Jr. of Florida and Thomas M. Laero (Lara) of Oklahoma Borough; and her sister Esther Hansen of Cortland, OH. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
