He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Shirey and Juanita Shirey (Semprevivo); and his siblings, Carl "Bradley" Shirey, Jr., Thomas Shirey, Tim Shirey, Lavina Geracia, Darlene J. Fairman and Melanie Shirey.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene E. Shirey (Hubert); his daughter Crystal L. "Crissy" Uhing of Vandergrift; his grandchildren, Ryan J. Uhing and Marly E. Koleno; and his sister Cathleen Chruscik of Kittanning. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
