He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Townsend and Rosella Townsend (Roberts); his son Brian Townsend; and his sister Rosalee Walker. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Townsend (Cook) of Apollo; his siblings, Donald Townsend (Sherry) of Apollo, Sylvia Harmon (David) of Apollo and Jule Lindsay (Larry) of Spring Church; his grandchildren, Carisa Wallace of Greensburg and Daniel Townsend; and his brother-in-law Ray Cook of Apollo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
