He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene J. Silvis and Ruth Irene Silvis (Bowser); and his siblings, Irene Stevens, Lucille Kepple, Robert Silvis, Alvin Lee Silvis, Frank Silvis and Ronnie Silvis.
He is survived by: his wife Sara L. Silvis (Elkin); his children, Rhonda S. Connor (Mike) of Allegheny Township, Allen D. Silvis (Celena) of Fairfax, VA, Steven R. Silvis (Amy) of Martinsburg, PA and Brian K. Silvis of Leonardtown, MD; his grandchildren, Kailyn, Haley, Nicole, Brant, Madi, Michael, Daniel and Lillian; his great grandchildren, Carter, Owen, Isaac, Kenna, Eli, Nicholas, Colson, Briar, Mathis and Elsie; and his sisters, Carol Smith, Ann Hollis, Bev Troutman and Sandra Frailey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. - Apollo (100 Owens View Ave, Apollo, PA 15613). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dale's memory to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
