With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arela Mascaro of Apollo, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 15, 2024 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Arela Mascaro to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid Arela farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Arela is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Tony Mascaro; her son Anthony Mascaro (Dawn); her great grandchild Lily Hickman; her nieces and nephews, Rachel and Abby Tanis; and her sibling-in-law Francis Gallo. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd. (7450 Saltsburg Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15235). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (444 Holy Family Way, Pittsburgh, PA 15239).

In lieu of flowers, Arela's family requests you instead spend time with an elderly shut in.
