He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin W. Schmoyer and Esther G. Schmoyer (Gerhart); and his siblings, Melvin Schmoyer, Richard Schmoyer, Robert Schmoyer, Fern Heckman and Nancy Vogelsong.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ruth-Esther (Stephen Carney) of Palmyra, Rebecca L. (Robert Hopple) of Lebanon and Elizabeth M. (David Logan, Jr.) of Annville; his grandchildren, David (Jaclyn), Erin Carney, Tierra, Taelor, Lyssa, Lamia, Loraya Hopple, Meira Copenhaver, Nathaniel Cassel, Charles and Clyde Tapley; and his great grandchildren, Jude Hopple, Natalie Carney, Noah Carney and Elora Hopple.
