He was predeceased by: his parent John Tennant; and his son John Patrick Tennant. He is survived by: his parent Lois Dawkins Tennant; his significant other Dianna Painter; his children, Dana Michelle Norem of Charlotte, NC, Deborah Postlethwait of Hendersonville, NC and James Christopher Tennant of Charlotte, NC; and his sister Edith T. Parker. He is also survived by four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
