He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon E. Bidding and Grace Victoria Bidding (Zimmerman); his wives, Judith E. (Shott) and Carole M. (Whitmer); his siblings, Florence Boscolovich, Eva Haupt and Solomon Bidding; and his half-brother Marlin Raker.
He is survived by: his son J. Scott Bidding (Linda) of Palmyra; his grandchildren, Carolyn, Lauren, Owen and Aiden; his daughter Jennifer Venmans (Hans) of Utrecht, Netherlands; his sister Esther "Sally" Engle of Hummelstown; his stepsons, Todd Koch of Newville and Troy Koch of Hummelstown; his stepgrandchildren, Tara and Morgan; his stepson Bruce Koch (Michelle) of Hummelstown; his stepgrandchild Brody; and also, Julia Stover of Hershey, Mackenzie, Addison and Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in John's memory to Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 South Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA.
