He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Young and Deta Young (Louis); and his sister Clasina Borden. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Pomper (Pomper); his children, Gregory A. Young (Norma Shenk), Roger A. Young, David A. Young (Robin Palmer) and Suellen K. Young; his grandchildren, Amy Fuhrman (Young), Alan, Matthew, Amber Andrews (Young) and Sarah Young; and his sister Betty Zimmerman.
