He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Shenk and Anna Shenk (Hallman); his wife Doris Shenk; his children, Catina Shenk, Linda Shenk and Ronald Shenk; and his sister Arlene Menser.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Shenk, Richard Shenk (Kelly), Robert Shenk (Audrey) and Deborah Sholly (Thomas); and his brother Mark Shenk, Jr. (Melba). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
