She was predeceased by: her spouse Allen G. Rhine; her parents, Arthur F. Rice and Effie S. Houser Rice; and her siblings, George (Miriam), Earl (Kathryn), Arthur (Hattie), Freeman (Lorraine) and Margaret Krugh (John).

She is survived by: her former husband Harold W. Maurer, Jr.; her children, Edward A. Maurer of Lebanon and Julie A. Maurer of Cleona; her grandson Paul (Michelle Maurer); and her great grandchildren, Ava and Zachery Maurer.
