He was predeceased by: his wife Marian A. Snyder (Blauch); his parents, Clarence Anspach and Eleanor Meyer (Snyder); his son Samuel L. Snyder; his daughter-in-law Susan Snyder; his grandson Taylor Snyder; and his sister Mildred Kline.

He is survived by: his children, Dianne K. Winters (Cedric) of Annville, David A. Snyder (Jo Marie) of Mechanicsburg and Michael S. Snyder of Annville.
