She was predeceased by: her former husband Franklin J. "Boop" Sowers; her parents, Irvin Steigerwalt and Mabel Steigerwalt (Hartman); and her siblings, Phyllis Kobal, Mae Womer, Ernest, Curtis, Luther "Dewey", Hilbert and Bruce Steigerwalt.
She is survived by: her husband John Costenbader; her children, Franklin I. Sowers (Ellen) of Andreas, Michelle (Mark Generella) of Andreas and Jennifer (Scott Guinther) of McKeansburg; her sister Janice Jeck of Snyders; and her grandchildren, Angela, Dawn, Nash and Franklin.
