He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Martinez and Demetria Martinez (Rivera); and his siblings, Irma Alvarez, Carmen Marrero, Jose "Pepito" Martinez, Miguel A. Martinez and Jose L. "Bibi" Martinez.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret I.; his children, Sarah K. of Andreas and James A. (Sonia Soto) of Wanamakers; his siblings, Juan A. "Tony" Martinez and Gloria Hoffman; and his sister-in-law Carmen Martinez. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
