It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene M. Besecker of Analomink, Pennsylvania, born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 30, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David L. Besecker; and her siblings, Lloyd Metzgar, Mitchell Metzgar, Maurice Metzgar, Clair Metzgar, Wayne Metzgar, Velma Frantz, Belva Fish and Eleanor Beehler.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Shoemaker (Sherwood) of Saylorsburg, Claudia Luckey (John Kofel) of East Stroudsburg, Dawson Besecker of Analomink, Janice Young (Robert) of Effort, Vanessa Murphy (William) of East Stroudsburg and Dawn Besecker (Tanya Warner) of East Stroudsburg; her grandchildren, Renee Daniels, Tracy Lee, Tara Ford, Brian Shoemaker, Tina Luckey, Tricia Luckey, Emily Young and Morgan Murphy; her siblings-in-law, Mildred "Til" Metzgar of Analomink and Marshall Besecker (Geraldine) of San Antonio, TX; and also Roxann LaBar. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
Due to current COVID health restrictions, the funeral home capacity is limited and friends and family are asked to follow CDC guidelines by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to the Analomink United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
