He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hartge and Olga Grenke Hartge; and his siblings, Albert Hartge, Edith Cramer and Emma Hartman.
He is survived by: his son William; his daughter-in-law Karen Hartge; his granddaughters, Hope Hartge and Heather (Bryan Hay); his great grandchild Lukka Hay of Somerset; and his sister Hilda Colflesh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
