He was predeceased by: his parents, James I. Jr. Barnes and Edna Barnes (Lautenslager). He is survived by: his children, James I. Barnes IV (Brenda) of Uniontown, Joe Barnes (Stephanie) of Irwin and Lori Medina of Hampton; his grandchildren, Brianna, Abby, Emily and Jeffrey; his brothers, David "Bucky" Barnes (Linda) of Arizona and Max Barnes (Cheryl) of Virginia; his nieces, Debbie and Jennifer; and his nephew Charles.
