He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Canavan and Mary Canavan; his siblings, Sister Mary Canavan, I, H. M., Catherine R. McManus, Hugh, Francis and Thomas; his siblings-in-law, Walter Norris, William Hill Jr., Elizabeth Canavan and Doris Canavan; and his nephews, John Kelly Canavan, William Hill III and Christopher Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Canavan; his children, Joseph (Regina) and Susan Wenz (John); his grandchildren, Alexandra, Madelyn, Sophie Wenz, Ryan and Lola Canavan; and his sisters, Roseanne Norris, Marguerite T. Gaffney (Joseph) and Eileen Hill.
