He is survived by : his children, John A. Thomas, Jr., Byron Thomas of Alverton and Ruth E. Kozemchak (Stan) of Bradenville; his grandchildren, George A. McCann of Bradenville and Jessica M. Lint of Connellsville; and his siblings, James, Randy, Ralph Thomas, Barbara Hice and Brenda Cunningham.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Slater-Rega Funeral & Cremation Services Inc. (730 W Main St, Mt Pleasant, PA 15666). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
