We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2020, at the age of 88, Joan Fretts Miller (Alverton, Pennsylvania), born in Scottdale, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert C. Fretts and Ruth Jane Fretts (Stoner); her husband Robert D. "Peep" Miller; her siblings, Pauline Fox, Dorothy Harbarger, Sarah Jane Stants, Edna Ruth McKnight, Janet Lee Beal, Ralph C. Fretts, Nancy L. Gelet, A. J. Fretts and Phyllis A. Keffer; and her half-sister Laverne Cox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheree Lynn Shumar (Richard) of Alverton and Debra Lee Miller of Scottdale; her granddaughter Maria Lynn Pitonyak (Erwin) of Mt. Pleasant; and her sisters-in-law, Terri Fretts and Ruth Ann Miller. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an animal charity of one's choice.
