He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Kaufman and Naomi Kaufman (Barndt); his brother Glenn Kaufman; his children, Dan Kaufman and Cheryl Hartman; his son-in-law Emil Williams; and his grandson Brett Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Rena Yoder; his children, Karen Larson (Stig), Aaron Kaufman, Darlene Scarcella (Anthony), Kathleen "Kate" Kriedler (Jayson), Irene Beutman (Jeff), Chris Kaufman and Jay Kaufman (Heather); his brother Neil Kaufman (Joan); and his son-in-law Jeff Hartman. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
