He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde K. Byers and Audrey Byers (Hinish); and his brother-in-law Richard Shaffer. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Byers (Ringler); his daughters, Kali Byers (Allison) and Kari Schofield (Brandon); and his siblings, Troy Byers (Robbin) of Tyrone, Karen Shaffer of Woodbury and Sharon Wolbert (Sam) of Alabama. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
