He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Nichols and Violet Nichols; his wife Regina Rickabaugh; his sons, Stanley Nichols and David Nichols; and his grandson Christopher Nichols.
He is survived by: his sons, Walter E. Nichols (Cheryl) and Manny P. Nichols (Karen); his grandchildren, Mckenzie Nichols, Derek Nichols, Jordan Nichols of Walt Nichols, JR, Jennifer Nichols, Nicole Beschler, Michael Boring and Rachel Nichols; and his sister Betz Patterson (Buddy, family: Brenda, Betty, Rich, Molly Patterson).
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Santella Funeral Home (1106 8th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Axe & Santella Family Chapel (1534 4th St, Altoona, PA 16601).
