Thomas E. Hatch Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas E. Hatch Sr. of Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George O. Hatch and Mary Hatch (Smeltzer); and his siblings, Mary, Caroline, Rose and William.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki A. Gutshall of Mark's Catholic Church; his sons, Stephen Hatch (Charlene) of Bellwood, Thomas Hatch (Sherry) of Dysart and Adam Hatch (Kathy) of Altoona; his grandchildren, Jennifer Miller (Christopher), Stephanie Hatch, Brooks Hatch (Ashli), Hunter Hatch, Nathan Hatch, Johnathan Hatch, Kristopher Hatch (Tessa Ferrone), A. J. Hatch, Noah Hatch (Cierra Moyer), Mitchell Stevens (Jaslynn) and Alaina Stevens (Nathan Lightner); his great grandchildren, Callie, Jaelee, Josie, Caed, Maddie, Harper, Rye, Mariah, Madelynn, Ryan, Myla, Makenna, Maylie, Stella and Coleson; and his sister Anna M. Walters of Altoona.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc. (501 N 6th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in memory of Tom please be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 East Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Altoona, PA 16602 in honor of his love for animals.
