She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward J. Mitchell and Hazel O. Mitchell (Wombacher); her husband Paul S. "Pal" Shaner; her children, Tana Marie Shaner, Francis Joleen Shaner and Kevin Paul Shaner; and her sister Shirley Joleen Orndoff (Mitchell).
She is survived by: her son Michael W. Shaner (Kelly) of Remington, VA; her grandsons, Aaron M. Shaner (Brittany) of Chesapeake, VA and Brandt C. "Cody" Shaner (Paola) of Spotsylvania, VA; her great grandchildren, Alaina V. Shaner, Mikah P. Shaner of Spotsylvania, VA and Aariona C. Shaner of Chesapeake, VA; her brothers-in-law, John A. "Jack" Shaner and David B. Shaner of Altoona; and her daughter-in-law Melanie K. Shaner of Montross, VA..
