It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen M. Walter of Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Donald Sr. and Peggy Swope (Albright); her brother Earl Donald Swope, Jr.; and her children, Peggy Welsh, Ashley Walter and Aaron Walter.
She is survived by: her son James Walter (Whitney) of Texas; her siblings, Arthur Swope (Linda) of Martinsburg, Raymond Swope (Pamela) of Texas and Beverly Swope of Martinsburg; her grandchildren, Rhiley, Ryder, Logan, Lukas and Trinity; and her former husband James Leroy Walter, Sr..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Stone Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (114 Main St, Woodbury, PA 16695). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
If so desired, Memorial Contribution in Karen's name may be made to Stone Funeral Home to help the family with final funeral expenses.
