He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin M. Wardrop and Kathryn A. Wardrop (Fetterman); and his sister Bonnie Nye. He is survived by: his wife Sharon J. Tritle; his children, Erik B. Wardrop of Duncansville and Jennifer Bryan (Travis Muccitelli) of Tyrone; his grandchildren, Connor Bryan, Derek Wardrop, Kathryn Bryan, Austin Wardrop and Jordan Wardrop; and his sister Donna Belski of Myrtle Beach, SC..
