Bernice L. Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernice L. Smith (Altoona, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Christian and Lillie Christian; her husband George Peterman; and her children, George Peterman III, Charles Peterman and Georgia Viers.
She is survived by:, Louise Peterman of Indiana, PA, Patricia Peterman of Simpsonville, SC, Eva and Michael McDonald of Leland, NC. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home (719 N 4th Ave, Altoona, PA 16601). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
