With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arlene Smith of Altoona, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 16, 2024 at the age of 100. She was predeceased by: her parents, Junious Daniel, Jr. and Maybelle Sheard (Powell); her husband Arthur Moore; her grandson Rashaan Vaughn; her brother Robert Powell; her aunt Celie Boone Jones (Powell); and her son-in-law Henry Lee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jacqueline A. Smith-Bennett (Jerry), Carole Lee and L'Wanda Greenlaw (Steve); her grandchildren, Mylah Martin-Davis (Jeff), Julian Vaughn, Karolyn Gholston (Kelvin), Seth Greenlaw (Faina), Sarah Greenlaw (Ben) and Karin Greenlaw (Brian); her great grandchildren, Imani Vaughn, Jahim Vaughn, Ilana Vaughn and Tiana Vaughn; her stepdaughters, Margo Smith and Anita Moore Jennings; and her stepgranddaughters, Janea and Maya. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
