He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Klaus and Alice Klaus (Hartmann); his brother Richard A. Klaus; his brother-in-law Anthony Bruno; and his cousin Nancy Hartmann.
He is survived by: his wife Ermine Klaus (Bruno); his son Jason (Jenna); his granddaughters, Kiera Bella and Lena Marie Klaus; his sisters-in-law, Maryann Klaus (Baker), Carol Yagulli (Ralph) and Marie Dennis (Wayne); his cousin Dan (Lynette); and also, Jeff, Becky and Kimberly.
