He was predeceased by: his daughter Sharon Meier; and his brother Robert Szarmach. He is survived by: his wife Mary Szarmach (Gally); and his children, Richard Szarmach and Darlene Szarmach. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
