He is survived by: his parent Jane Newell, Sr. (McAtire); his wife Ellen Newell; his children, Joan Murdock and Brian Palmer; and his grandchildren, Scott Palmer, Tracy Hanna, Ryan Murdock, Julie Murdock Stump, Michael Palmer, Kristy Palmer Ford and Katie Palmer. He is also survived by one brother and seven great grandchildren.
